Training

In order to continually develop as professionals Café K is dedicated and committed to implementing monthly training sessions, not only for the core staff team but for volunteers and the wider community within Craigmillar.

We cover a wide range of training needs which are articulated by participants, however all training sessions are targeted at working with young people. Topics we have covered are communication, sexual health, first aid computers and recording systems.

Most of these sessions are run in-house but we have had outside agencies come in such as Streetlegal to carry out anti social behaviour information training and also the Health Opportunities Team who implimented training on alcohol and sexual health.
