Girls group is for young women aged 13-21. There is the opportunity to be involved in sessions around self esteem, sexual health, and participation as well as the chance to hang out with friends.

 

FCUK is a drop in for young people aged 12+ run in partnership with Edinburgh Leisure. The drop-in runs on a Friday night 7-9pm. Every month there is a programme which involves a variety of activities such as dj workshops, hip hop dancing and graffiti art. There is also the opportunity to use the sports hall and pulse centre at the Sports wing.

 

Oot n aboot is our detached youth work service which involves meeting and working alongside young people on the streets. Workers are out 2 nights a week offering support, advice and information to young people which assists them in making positive change within their lives and wider community on Sunday night,Oot n Aboot is open at the Jack Kane Community Centre for young people 13+ between 7-9pm. providing young people with a safe and comfortable enviroment to hang out over the winter months.

Over the past year Café K has built up good links within the European Community. These relationships have enabled us to not only access funding and implement several intercultural exchanges. Our most recent has been to Germany. For all these reports please click onto the history page

 

 

This is a group for 8 - 12 year olds on Tuesday evenings from 6- 8pm.There will be no cost to young people to join in these activities but they must have a completed memebership form. For more information either come along on the night or phone Cafe K.

This is a group for 8 - 12 year olds on Thursday evenings from 6- 8pm.There will be no cost to young people to join in these activities but they must have a completed memebership form. For more information either come along on the night or phone Cafe K.

 

 

This is a new group for 8 - 12 year olds meets on Fridays 1.30 - 3.30 pm There will be no cost to young people to join in these activities but they must have a completed memebership form. For more information either come along on the night or phone Cafe K.

 

 This is a group for boys aged 12-16, which runs on a Monday nite from 6 -8 pm, We play football, snooker and pool, and also have ps2 and internet access, and other sporting activities available.

 

Early intervention is a project carried out with local primary schools. The young people participate in group work covering local issues such as community rules and laws and communication.

Jack Kane Drama Group
Hi and hello welcome to this vibrant fun drama group which meets 10.00 – 12.00pm every Saturday but is closed during the school holidays. We do mixture of improvesation, games, scripted pieces, music and singing, dance and lots more. So come along and join in the fun fun fun.

SUMMER PROGRAMME 2008
Café K, in partnership with the Jack Kane Community Centre, and with support from Community Education, put together a range of leisure and recreational activities for young people to access during school holidays. places for trips will be organised throough each group but please feel free to come along to our drop ins.
