Calling
all reporters! The Early interventions project is carried out in
the local primary schools in the greater Craigmillar and surrounding
areas and sees the P.6 classes becoming journalists for their own
community newspaper. This is created through group work activities
and reporter assignments, such as doing interviews with local people
in the community and their family members, which are recorded in
their very own assignment books. The pupils investigate what being
an active member of the community involves. All their findings and
insight go into creating their personalised newspaper to share with
the rest of their community. |
